2017 CONVENTION INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION FORM
FRIDAY JULY 21, 2017
4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Registration in EXECUTIVE BOARDROOM Pick up your goodie bag. For those with special diet needs, your ticket for your meal will be in your bag. Please bring this with you to dinner. Take this time to turn in your raffle items and get your year bars and badges. Tickets for raffle items will be 1 for $1 or 6 for $5. Check out the silent auction items also. Snacks and water will be available. REMINDER: The convention is for Linda/Lyndas ONLY.
RAFFLE ITEMS and SILENT AUCTION ITEMS will be on display during registration time and through Saturday night dinner. Closing time will be 8:30 pm. The organization receiving our donation this year is Maria House/Teresa Shelter. See more information in your bag. *See more comments on this on the back page.
After registration there is a lounge available or for those who have their own transportation there is entertainment downtown at the Town Clock Plaza, “Dubuque and All that Jazz”.

8:00 AM Group Picture (Wear Linda Shirts) SYMPOSIUM ROOM Please be on time.
8:15 AM Membership Meeting SYMPOSIUM ROOM
9:30 AM LEAVE FOR NATIONAL MISSISSIPPI RIVER MUSEUM AND AQUARIUM Transportation will be provided to the museum and back to hotel. After we arrive at museum and aquarium, tickets will be handed out for admission. At this time if you wish, you may upgrade for $5.00 more to see the special exhibit of “Monster Fish” in 3D/4/D theaters. Everyone will be able to tour the facilities at their leisure.
12:30 PM There will be pickup transportation back to hotel. The hotel shuttle will take you where you want to go but you are responsible for making your own arrangements. Or you can use your own car to sight see.
There is a trolley that picks up in front of the casino to take you to downtown areas (NOT back to hotel). You are responsible for getting back to hotel on your own.
ONCE YOU LEAVE THE MUSEUM AND AQUARIUM, you will be free to do whatever you like. Places of interest close to Museum and Aquarium: Dubuque River Rides, Stonecliff Winery and Star Brewery Complex, Shot Tower Historic Landmark, Diamond Jo Casino, and the River walk (Boardwalk) in front of Grand Harbor Resort along the Mississippi. Eagle Point Park overlooks lock & dam #11 and charges a small fee per car load to visit.
Other areas of interest: Fenelon Place Elevator (where you can view Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin atop the world’s shortest, steepest, scenic railway for a round trip fee of around $3.00, Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, Dubuque Museum of Art, Trolleys of Dubuque (563-552-2896) located near Diamond Jo Casino, Dubuque by Carriage (located at Cable Car Square 563-580-0558). Cable Car Square is home to three blocks of boutiques and specialty shops (Calico Bean, Freddies popcorn, etc.) for those of you who love to shop, located between 3rd and 5th streets on Bluff St. in Downtown Dubuque and also Kennedy Mall. Homemade Betty Jane Candies is located on Asbury Rd.
6:30 PM - ? Dinner in EAGLE POINT CONFERENCE ROOM For sit down dinner, Casual/Nice Dress is fine, but please NO shorts.

If you are flying into Dubuque, you may call the hotel (800)336-4392 and let them know when you will be arriving so they can shuttle you from airport to hotel. Also Allegiant Airlines fly into Moline, Cedar Rapids, Peoria and Rockford for anyone using this airline. Moline and Cedar Rapids are the closest.
