The 2021 L.I.N.D.A. Convention was held July 23-25 in Kansas City, Missouri. Our theme was Heartland Champions in recognition of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals.

After registration on Friday afternoon, the Linda’s/Lynda’s got reacquainted. We had opportunity to participate in the silent auction and raffle for the beautiful gifts that the members bought. Then we enjoyed delicious pizza.

Saturday morning was our yearly business meeting followed by a group picture with our 2021 L.I.N.D.A. t-shirts. The location of the 2022 convention will be in Sioux City, Iowa. Linda’s/Lynda’s enjoyed the Kansas City sights on their own schedule.

A formal convention photo was taken on the steps of the Embassy Suites. This was followed by a catered dinner and we were entertained by pianist Kurt Knecht. Awards were given to the first registration received, the youngest member and welcomed four first-time Linda’s to the Convention. Silent auction and raffle winners were announced.

Sunday morning Linda Hillier announced that $2,000 was raised from the silent auction/raffle. This will be given to Mother’s Refuge, a safe place for pregnant mothers. Linda Kline volunteers for this organization.

A special thanks goes to the 2021 planning team of Linda Hillier, Linda Reger, Linda Goodsell, Linda Kline, Linda McGinnis, Linda Martin and Linda Macklin.
